Click on the "James Hearst Poetry Prize" or the "Submit" tab above to participate in the 2013 prize by submitting up to 5 original poems.  First place receives $1,000.  Ansel Elkins won first place last year with her poem, "Mississippi Pastoral," found in the Spring 2012 issue (available through our online store). Our judge this year is H.L. Hix.  Deadline is October 31, 2012.
